Its Ganesh festival! Time to make umpteen varieties of Modak, Ganesha’s favorite.

Here is the Modak recipe of Maida n Chocolate mixture.

While this mouth- watering delicacy is an inseparable part of Ganesh festival celebration’s, you can try and make it more often as it is a tasty treat for the whole family, especially the young ones.

These delicious Rock Chocolate Modaks just melts in your mouth.

Yield Medium size Modaks           21


Maida                 2 cups

Sugar                  1 1/2 cup

Ghee                   1 1/4 cup

Dry fruits crushed  3-4 Tbsp

Pistachio chopped

Cocoa powder           4 Tbsp

Rock chocolate


Heat ghee in a thick bottom kadhai. Add Maida and fry until an aroma arises. Switch off the gas stove and add cocoa powder and mix together very well.

Dry roast the dry fruits and add to the mixture.

Transfer this mixture into the plate and let it cool down.

Add powder sugar to the mixture and mix well.

Add chocolate rocks and tie Modaks.

 It is ready to offer Shree  Ganesha!!
