Sabudana vada alsocalled ‘ sago vada’ .

Is a traditional deep fried snack.

It’s often served with curd.

Maharashtrians enjoyed it in fast.


sabudana ( sago)                    1 cup

Potato                                        1 medium

Roasted and crushed

Peanuts                                    1/2 cup

Green chillies                           3 _ 4

Salt                                            to taste

Oil                                              for deep frying


Wash the sabudana well and then drain it. Then soak it for 5_6 hours with little water.

You will find that the water has been absorbed by the sago.


Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.


Divide the mixture into 12 to 15 equal portions.


Shape each portion into flat round and keep aside.


Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the vadas on a medium flame till they turn brown and crisp from both the sides.


Drain on obsorbent paper.


Serve hot with thick curd.
